As we move forward with our advocacy here in Alaska, we would like to call on you at key times to help us fix the sex trafficking laws, which have most often been used against marginalized women in the sex industry rather than to protect them and that we need laws against police having sexual contact with people who are the victims, witnesses, or defendants in active investigations.

Your efforts in signing the Care2 petition in 2016 really helped educate your lawmakers about the harms the sex trafficking laws are doing to marginalized people in the sex industry.  When we went to meet with politicians, they had already received your emails!  Receiving your emails made them willing to sit down and talk and listen to us.
